Hello, fellow netrunners.

For those of you who don’t check our X/Twitter, we’ve run into some obstacles with preparing our Android release. To provide a more interesting soundscape/music experience, we have been using FMOD–a sound engine that allows for nonlinear tracks and a dynamic blending of music intensities and cues.

Unfortunately, due to the vagaries of how Ren’Py functions on Android devices, we have not been able to get FMOD to function in that environment. We have a backup plan to replicate most of FMOD’s functionality using native Ren’Py tools, and so we are now moving forward with that implementation.

We apologize for the delay, but further development time will be required so we can get the music experience on Android as close to the other releases as possible. This is one of those “it’s done when it’s done” situations, since we are experimenting and establishing standards for future releases.

With that said, while we have no specific release date in mind, we estimate the Android release should be published in early November (sooner, if possible). Once we get all of this worked out, there should be little-to-no delay for future Android releases.
